This is all about me. The total me.
I write and edit a blog on world football referees called Play the Advantage, and I love it. It’s what I’m passionate about.
But there’s so much more to me than that.
I’m a writer: I write short stories and novels with a sci fi/fantasy bent. My first short story is going to published in May.
I’m a writer, part two: I work in glorious downtown San Francisco, where I’m a contract website writer for large companies. I’ve been doing this for years, and it’s a pretty cool way to make a living doing what I love.
I’m a user experience expert: With the user interface writing, I’ve been working in user experience for a long time, so I know about design, interaction and how to make a good website outstanding. I share some of my experience on WordPress’ Community Pool.
I’m an editor: I help writers make their stories better through specific but constructive feedback.
I’m a baker: I cook, too, but baking is my hobby. I love baking cakes, breads, cookies, whatever. I tend to be popular with coworkers because of it.
I live in a great place: My small town is about 20 minutes south of San Francisco, and right on the Pacific Ocean. My little house is a 110-year old farmhouse that was built when there were no other houses between it and the water. Now, it’s a sleepy little town full of great characters. I love it here.
I adopt senior pets: I know they might not have much more time, but I like having them around while they’re here.
I love football (soccer): Yes, I write about referees but I love the game. I’m a Tottenham Hotspur supporter, which means I get my heart broken every year. My guy friends and I have running texts on weekend mornings about the games.
I love sci fi and fantasy: I watch sci fi shows and movies, and I may or may not go to Star Trek conventions with my buddy.
I’m all this and more…and you’ll get a taste of all of these things from this blog.
